- [Instructor] A lot of application users who do a lot of data entry tend to like to keep their fingers on the keyboard and that means, as they're moving around through fields on your FileMaker layouts, they're not going to want to have to pick up the mouse and click into a field in order to go where they need to go, so that's where you can take on the responsibility of setting a tab order in your layout, since, in fact, an important aspect of creating an effective user interface is managing how users move through the layout. There's a tool available for you to be able to do that. You can find it in layout mode. And what I would suggest is that you don't actually do this until you're pretty much done with your layouts or you're ready to deploy your first build of the database and that's because every time you add new fields or new layout objects, you might have to redo the tab order to include them, so get it to a place where it's ready to ship.
