- [Voiceover] The Date, Time, and Timestamp functions are among the easiest to learn because they have really simple syntax. Let's take a look at them, we'll go under File, Manage, Database, I've got this DateCalc field already created, let's change it from a number to a calculation, hit change, tell FileMaker that's okay, and then we see our dialogue. So if we filter by just the date ones, we'll see that really, they come in a couple different formats, really just one of them has more than one parameter. Actually two of them, your name, but for example the date function is where we can have three parameters here, we can put in three different fields, or a number or a combination of fields and numbers. And the output of this would be a properly formatted date. In that case we would wanna actually store the results as a date so we make sure that the calculation result drop-down says date.
