- [Instructor] New versions of iOS hardware include fingerprint readers for user authentication purposes. FileMaker Go 15 now supports Touch ID device authentication when requesting access to the iOS Keychain. So this means that you can provide Touch ID authentication for your FileMaker apps, as long as the user has previously saved their credentials in the device's Keychain. Then, each subsequent login can be done through the Touch ID, allowing Keychain access, thus appearing to the user like they are authenticating with Touch ID. There's going to be a couple steps to configuring your file to be able to use Touch ID to authenticate. The first of which is to follow best practice and make sure that when you set up your file that you are not using the admin account that ships with the file with the blank password.
