Scheduling scripts
- [Instructor] One of the more useful features of FileMaker Server is its ability to run scripts. Now, I'm inside the FileMaker admin console right now, on the configuration tab, and I'm looking at the script schedules section where I currently do not have any scripts scheduled to run. FileMaker Server can run FileMaker scripts that are created inside hosted databases. So in this case you would create a schedule to run a FileMaker script, specify the database and account to run the script, and then it would run on certain intervals. So for example, I would hit create schedule, I could say I want to run either a FileMaker script or a system script, which is like a batch file or a shell file, these are scripts that the Operating System would run, or something called a script sequence, which is actually a combination of the two.
