Previewing the inspector

- [Voiceover] One of the most important tools that'll you have at your disposal when you're working with layouts in Filemaker is something that's called the Inspector. You can only access the Inspector when you're in layout mode. Let's go into layout mode. If you don't already see the Inspector, there are a couple different ways to invoke it. You can go under the view menu, all the way down to Inspector or you can use the corresponding quick key. Or you can choose this eye icon here that you see in the formatting bar. Once you get the Inspector on screen you'll notice that you've got these icons on the top here. Now honestly these are tabs, they are kind of stylized buttons but they're really supposed to be tabs. So the first one that you see here that's in blue, that indicates that it's highlighted, it's call the Position Tab. Then we've got the Style Tab. The Appearance Tab and the Data Tab.
