Popovers in your layouts

- [Instructor] A Popover button is a layout object in FileMaker that expands to display a popover object, which floats over the window obscuring some content behind it. But its purpose is to be a panel in which you can display any type of layout object. Similar to a tab control, or a slide control, it does have the same context as the layout behind it. Popover buttons are handy in situations where you might otherwise have to have opened up a window. Some examples of where a popover can be useful, include displaying detailed information on a field or object. Let's say you have a small field that has a lot of text in it, and you want people to be able to see an exploded, or zoomed-in view. You could also have it show a portal that shows related data. So let's say you've got an invoice on a list view, and you want to pop open to show a portal of all the contents of that invoice or line items. And it's also helpful to put web viewers in popovers, because web viewers tend to require a lot…
