Performing scripts on FileMaker Server

- [Instructor] If you've created backup schedules in FileMaker Server via the Admin Console, you may have noticed that FileMaker Server can perform other scheduled actions. For example, you can see System Level Script, which are things like batch scripts in Windows or shell scrips in OS X. You might use system level scripts to do something like perform additional operations on backed up files such as copy them to another file server or compressing them to save space before they're backed up at the system level. You could use a system level script to monitor the size of individual files and send an email to an administrator if a file size grows larger than a certain size or grows more than a certain amount within a set period of time. These are all things that you can program on the server side and you can schedule those to run, the intervals, that is, by using system level script as an option.
