- [Voiceover] One of my favorite features in FileMaker is the ability to control the visibility of layout objects by indicating whether an object is hidden or displayed depending on a specific condition or calculation. For example, you can choose to show or hide certain fields in a questionnaire as a result of a user's response to a specific question if you'd like. You see this kind of thing on the web all the time using JavaScript. This has been something that FileMaker developers have needed, and they've come up with some kind of sophisticated ways to accomplish it, but in recent versions of FileMaker we now have a very easy way to accomplish this. So let's take a look at our exercise file, specifically the Product Detail layout. So one thing that I want to show you, actually back in Browse mode here, is that any particular product can be assigned to a certain category.
