- You may have noticed that the status area, which is the area on the very top of the screen, above this line, changes depending on which mode you're in. For example, we're in browse mode right now, and I see that I've got buttons for New Record, Delete a Record, Find, Sort, and even Uploading to server. If I go into Preview mode, which shows me what things are going to look like when I print them, I can see that I have other options like Printing, Page Setup, and so on. But in Layout mode, we notice that the tools are pretty extensive. So this is specific just to Layout mode. I want to give you a brief tour of what these tools are, as I will be using them in upcoming movies. So first you'll notice we've got the New Layout/Report, we've used that in a previous movie so far in this course.
