Introducing control styles

FileMaker Pro provides many tools in Layout mode for configuring the behavior of fields that make data entry easier and more efficient for your users. Among these is something that's called the Fields Control Style, which enables you to find something called the value list for data entry and then to format the field to display the value list as either a pop-up menu, dropdown list, or a series of check boxes or radio buttons, all of which we'll review in this movie. There are two primary benefits for formatting fields in this way. It allows for a faster data entry by users, instead of users having to click inside of the field and type their own value, you can provide them with a list of the selections, which will populate the field on their behalf, thereby, allowing faster data entry, along with greater accuracy.
