Importing records to refresh data
- So we've already discussed how to import data from other non FileMaker files into FileMaker. So, let's imagine kind of an interesting scenario here, where we do import data in from another file, in this case it's going to be a spreadsheet. And, we bring that data into FileMaker, we make some changes of our own and then the person who gives us the file says, "Oh, by the way I made some changes, "do you want to import these in, again?" And, we think, "Oh no, I don't want to override my changes, but I do want their data." Well, we're in luck. There is a way to do this. Let me first start by importing some data into FileMaker. Import Records, choose the File option. And then, we're gonna choose Customers. And, just like we've done before we need to map some of the fields. Customer Name Last, Customer Name First, Company Name, Address Street, Address City, Address State.
