Getting and deleting FileMaker records
- [Instructor] The key to isolating FileMaker records within your Claris Connect flows, is about determining the internal record ID from that record. This is going to be required to do things like: get record by ID, editing records, or deleting records. In order for you to identify the record, somewhere in your flow, you will have had to have established the record that you want to work with, and be able to get the record ID as a response. One way that you can do this, is if you're using the FileMaker script trigger as the trigger for your flow. Because in that case, you will have had to define your JSON data variable, and within that variable, you can identify the record ID field. You see here, I mapped "recid" to a field called "recid" in my database. And I set that up as a calculation, using FileMaker's 'Get (Record ID)' function.
