Editing FileMaker records
- [Narrator] Claris Connect can allow you to edit Claris FileMaker records from within your flows. And to show you an example of when you might want to do that, I've created an app that stores home information for realtors. But in order to send some addresses to map and plot them in this app, I need latitude and longitude of each address. Now, FileMaker can't natively do that conversion, but it can trigger a Claris Connect flow that can. So what I've done is prepped my home's file by creating a layout that I can communicate to from within my Claris Connect flow. So I've created a layout that's based on the homes context, I've placed all the fields on this layout that are going to be necessary for me to be able to edit from within my flow. So specifically what I'm doing, is turning these address fields into latitude and longitude values. So I need to add the latitude and longitude, even though I won't be sending that data…
