Deleting records and backing up files

- If you've got existing records in your solution, it's actually pretty easy to delete them if you need to. Maybe a little bit too easy. I'm gonna show you how to delete records out of your solution, and then talk to you about some ways that you might wanna protect your database against accidental deletions. First, just like creating and duplicating records, you can delete a record by either going under the Records menu or I can use one of the buttons in the Status toolbar. You'll see that when I choose one of these options I get a message from FileMaker saying, are you sure you wanna permanently delete this entire record? If I hit Cancel, no deletion will occur, which is a nice little fail-safe. However, if I intend to delete the record, all I have to do is hit delete, and now that record is gone.
