Creating subsummary reports: Aggregating summary parts

- In previous movies, we talked about the role of a summary field that gives us information about a found set. You'll see here on the bottom of the report, I have this field called total summary, and that is giving us information on all 146 orders that are currently in the found set. Now, if I go into layout mode, I'll see that I'm also using a layout part called a sub-summary when sorted by. One curious feature is, a sub-summary when sorted by creates many found sets, and since a summary field aggregates across found sets, it'll do the same for many found sets. As a matter of fact, I'm just going to throw this up here real quick. I'm going to create a copy by option dragging, or in Windows, you can Ctrl + drag. And I just want to show you what happens when I put that onto a sub summary part.
