Creating multiline scripts
- [Instructor] So, earlier in the course, we talked about assigning an action to a button. Specifically, we've got this button here that when a user click on it, you see where you have a single-step action, which in this case is going to another layout, and that actually works great when we're looking at things like navigating to other layouts, or maybe having users click on a column header and having it sort by that column value. Those are what are called single-step actions. The problem is, what if we have a multiple-step action that we need to do? In those cases, what we have to do is write a script. You'll see that there's another option for assigning actions to a button. Instead of a single step, it's a script. So if you have just one thing that needs to occur, you can assign a single step, but if you have multiple things, or really, anything more than just one thing happening, it requires something called a script.
