Creating and duplicating records

- [Instructor] So far in this course we've discussed how to work with FileMaker to setup tables and fields in your FileMaker database, for you to store your data, and even some files if you'd like to. But now we're going to talk about actually creating records or adding some data to it. You'll notice in the Exercise File for 07_01 here that we have two records in the database, and the reason I know that is because if you look in the corner, you'll see that we have the number two right above the word total. That tells us that there's two total records stored in this database. The number one to the left-hand side tells us that we're currently viewing the first record. When you create finds, which we'll do later in this course, you'll see that the number two will change, and it'll actually tell you how many records of the total records stored in your database match your criteria.
