- [Instructor] Starting with iOS 11 and MacOS 10.13, Apple provided a framework called Core ML for evaluating pre trained machine learning models. And now within FileMaker 19, you'll be able to integrate Core ML into your apps that are running on FileMaker on iOS or MacOS. Core ML will allow you to use user data to make predictions and to train or fine tune models all on a user's device. A model is the result of applying a machine learning algorithm to a set of training data. You'd use a model to make predictions based on new input data. So for example, you could train a model to categorize photos or detect specific objects within a photo, just using its pixels. You can build and train a model with an app that's called Create ML, that gets bundled with Xcode. I'll show you how to do that in an upcoming movie.
