Configuring essential preferences

- [Instructor] Now the first time you ever open up FileMaker, it's probably a good idea to get familiar with some of the different preferences that are available to you. You can access preferences under either the FileMaker Pro menu where you see here. That's, of course, if you're using a Mac. If you're on Windows, you can go under the Edit menu, and you'll find Preferences at the bottom of that menu. So in my case, I'm on Mac. I'll open up Preferences here. And now the Preferences window opens, and I see I have five different tabs. Now if we first look at the section on top called User Interface Options, I'll pretty much leave those as they are. You'll notice the one in the middle, Show recently opened files. That gives you control over how many files show up under Recents. You can change that from 10 to either a number that's higher or lower. And you have some control over how many of those show up here by clearing…
