Themes help provide a consistent user interface, and this video shows you how to apply existing or custom themes to your layouts.
- [Instructor] Before we get started modifying…the layouts any further,…I want to go back to the conversation we were having…about themes from a previous video.…At this point,…we have not applied any themes to our exercise files.…We've adopted the default themes,…which are the enlightened theme…that you see here.…So we can hit this button…and we'll see that the default enlightened theme…has been applied to our customer's layout.…Now let's say…that we are building an application for a customer.…This happens to be their logo.…We look at a couple of the colors in the logo here,…and we determine that there might be…a default theme in FileMaker that will work rather nicely…and compliment these colors.…
Now I'm just eyeballing it,…of course those--…that habit design eye,…probably have other tools…that they can more scientifically figure out…what the colors are here…and find out what a good palette would be.…And in those cases you can create your own custom theme.…But if we go back to the "Change Theme" window here…and look at some of the themes that we've got,…
