- [Instructor] One of the benefits of working with FileMaker over other databases is that you can deploy FileMaker databases on various devices like iPads or iPhones using FileMaker Go. Now, each of these devices has a different screen size, and in FileMaker you have to design your screen layouts to fit the device. It's actually kind of meaningful even on the desktop, and let me show you why. If we go into layout mode, you'll see that I have a certain size of a layout here. Now, in FileMaker, when your users are in browse mode, you can stretch layout objects to fit larger screens, but if you want to constrain your layouts, you'll notice that when you get to a certain size, you'll see that I've got these scrolling windows appear, and you don't want scrolling. This is a bad user interface experience for your users. So if you were to create something that looked like an iPhone, you see how much smaller the iPhone layout would be…
