all the fields that you want or you as a user, can actually interact So now, my exercise file does not have any fields and the reason for that is because potentially I'm going to go into the preferences Add newly defined fields to the current layout selected. If so, any time that you're in the defined fields, or anywhere else for that matter, it's going to automatically show up on the layout Now honestly, I find that to be very disruptive, for the first time. or you're just doing maintenance, this can be actually kind of annoying, So first of all, I'm going to show you a couple different options that you've got. First of all you see that we have a menu called insert, or we can simply choose insert. So you'll notice that we have the insert menu when we're in layout mode and we have an option right on the top for inserting field. This will pop up the specified field window, and we can choose fields from any of the related tables. We'll keep it simple, and we'll just pick the current…
