- [Voiceover] Finding records…is one of the most common tasks that users perform…when they're inside FileMaker,…and as a result, finding records is also a common…actions that scripts are called on to perform.…Scripts can be set up to perform any search…that a user can perform manually,…and even some that cannot be performed manually.…Because you can controlled a scripted search…as a developer more easily than you can a manual search,…scripted searched are often more efficient and reliable.…There are several scripts…that may be involved in finding records,…and if we go to the Script Workspace…and open up both of our panes here,…we see we've got the Print Welcome Letter.…
And over here, if we organize them by category…and look at Found Set,…you'll see that we've got all sorts of script steps…that mimic finding behavior inside FileMaker.…There's the ability to perform a find,…constrain found sets, show all records, even sort records.…All of these affect found sets.…So let's say in this script…that we've created here for the Welcome Letter,…
