Jim continues to demonstrate the two-way sync feature between Dropbox or Box and Fieldwire. He discusses how this synchronization feature can be used to build an automatic archive that stores all versions of the construction drawings or plans and documents.
- In the last video, we connected our Fieldwire project…to our Box account, using the two-way…synchronization feature.…Now I want to go ahead and log into my Box account…and see what's happening there.…When I log in, I see that a Fieldwire folder has been added…here in my Box account.…If I click on that folder, I see my project,…my Linkedin Learning Sample project…that we've been working with.…When I click on that, I see that there are four folders…that have been generated.…Plans, Photos, Files, and As-builts.…
Now, when you first set the synchronization up,…it might take several minutes for all of the files…to synchronize properly so,…I know that some of my files are still…trying to synchronize here to the Box account.…But that's okay, we can still see what's going on.…So, As-builts and Photos are actually considered…one-way synchronization folders.…So what this means is that anything in these folders,…only gets pushed here from Fieldwire.…So any photos that I add in Fieldwire get pushed…to this Box folder and if I generate any As-built drawings,…
