Fieldwire contains the ability to sort and group construction drawings or plan sheets and construction documents into a folder structure. Jim demonstrates how to create folders and move documents into the folder.
- [Instructor] One more feature that we can use…to stay organized in Fieldwire…is to set up a folder system.…We can do this in Plans and in Files.…So let's go down to Files.…We've only got three files added here,…but as the project progresses,…we're gonna add requests for information, RFIs,…we're probably gonna add more specifications…and various other documents.…So let's create some folders to put those in…so we don't have to search…through the root folder all the time.…We do that by clicking on New Folder and giving it a name.…
So I'm just gonna set up several.…I'm gonna set up a folder for RFIs,…or requests for information.…I'm gonna set one up for Regulations,…or regulatory documents.…Let's go ahead and set one up called Specs,…or Specifications.…And you can continue to do this…and set up as many folders as you want.…There's just one level of folder structure though,…so you can't have sub-folders underneath these,…just one level.…Once you do this, you can take any of the documents…that you already have…and move them where they belong.…
