In this video, Jim demonstrates another markup tool available in Fieldwire that allows users to measure dimensions on a construction plan and add those dimensions to the plan sheet as a markup.
- [Instructor] With my old paper drawings…I was able to measure things…or use a scale to get lengths and areas…and I wanna be able to do that…on my digital drawings as well.…So fortunately I've got a set of tools here in Fieldwire…that allows me to do that easily.…Let's open our Architectural plans…and this time let's pick sheet A-103,…our BASEMENT PLAN.…And over here in our markup toolbar…I'm gonna go ahead and look at the Add a measurement tool.…But before I do that, remember this color tool,…like I said earlier, go ahead and pick the right color.…
And I think I wanna use blue for measurements.…Remember, I used red for as built notations,…so this time I'll use blue.…Now I can click on the Add a measurement icon…and this is gonna expand to some additional options.…If the only option you see…is the one to Calibrate the measurement,…you don't see these other two,…it means that Fieldwire was not able…to automatically determine the scale of your drawings.…And I'll show you how to do that in just a minute.…Since we have these other options…
