Even though you're the host, if somebody who is strong-willed says I think we should talk about parenting, which does happen, then you want to find a way to lead the conversation back to technology. In other words, even though you are posting the content on social media, other people may well influence the future direction of what is discussed. The power of the first comment is something which, over time, you'll definitely get to experience. That is, sometimes people will post the first comment and it may not be quite what you wanted.
