Another video sharing service that is quite popular is Vimeo. Vimeo gives you additional controls over your video and makes it easy to embed your videos on other websites. However, the same restrictions YouTube videos have on Facebook apply. Author Richard Harrington shows how to share Vimeo videos on Facebook.
- Another video sharing service…that's quite popular is Vimeo.…Vimeo gives yo additional controls over your video…and makes it easy to embed it on other websites.…However, the restrictions for an embedded video…are also there when it comes to Facebook.…What you can do is log into your account.…Then navigate to a video that you want to share.…You then click on the button to go to the video.…This'll give you custom controls over embedding…and you can stylize this if needed…if you want a custom embed code.…
Otherwise you can just click to go right…to the video and get its link.…Again, that custom embed code is great…for a website but won't work on Facebook.…To share a video, just click the share button.…And you can click directly to go to Facebook.…This will generate a new post.…You can choose if you want to share this on your timeline…or pick a group, an event, or a page.…What is nice is that the Vimeo embed…does pull a larger thumbnail.…
And when I click post to Facebook,…it generates the new post.…Let's have a look at that, and we'll refresh.…
