Promoting the event in advance organically
- One of the best things about social networks is sharing, and Facebook allows you to leverage your network to promote your video in advance. I'd like to talk about a few strategies for organically sharing, in other words, not paying money to get your event promoted. Now, a couple things to consider. First up, when it comes to organically sharing an event, make sure you take a look at mailing lists. You may already have an email list and a lot of mailing lists will allow you to insert a Facebook post or to target the link. My suggestion is simply access the page where you've set up an event or the video. If you take a look here, you'll see a Share button. Now, what you can do is share this. Besides the ability to share to other folks, this gives you the ability to actually send this, and as you can see here, you can share it as a private message.
