How do I embed a Facebook video on another site?

- Most Facebook videos that you create can be embedded on another webpage. This could be useful if you want to re share content that you've made in a different location. Perhaps a blog or a website that you manage. To embed a video is pretty straightforward. Go to the video you want to work with. Click in the upper right corner of the post and select embed. The embed option should be available for most videos, unless the creator has disabled it in their video manager. Copy and past the code that appears to add it to a website or a webpage. Now, if the audience has changed on the video, say from public, the video will no longer be available. The video itself has to be set to public because Facebook cannot control who accesses the video once it's embedded on another website. Facebook does not offer the ability to download videos from its servers. Rather, it wants to keep more control and pull people back to Facebook. Let's see how this works. To embed on a personal page, if I click the popup list here, you'll see embed. This gives me the ability to select the embed code. If I want the full post, including any text or things we've written, I'll check include full post. Under Advanced Settings, you'll see some more options. This is where you can go in and actually adjust the width of the video. For example, I can make this 800 pixels wide, and choose to include the full post. When I'm ready I'll click Get Code. Let's select iFrame and I'll copy the text. You may need to specify a page that you've set up in order to access this. Copy the text and switch to a blog post. Then paste it into the text view or the code view. And have a look. You'll notice that the video is embedded in the page and will become part of the post. There it is. That's pretty cool. If you are using a page, it's a little bit more difficult to find, but still there. Click the top corner, and choose Edit Post. Now, take a look at Distribution and make sure Allow Embedding is selected. Click the icon here and choose Get Embed Link. And you'll see similar controls. Depending upon several settings under the hood, sometimes the advanced settings option won't work correctly. But you see if I take this here, and I go back into the text view and paste it. Let's explore. There's the other video. However, this video is not currently being allowed to be embedded. So privacy controls of pages versus groups may come into play. Now, the ability to embed is going to vary depending upon where you posted the video. Generally speaking, Facebook is more lenient with videos that you've posted to an individual page. But some business pages or groups may be able to embed as well. This is one of the areas that Facebook continues to tweak, and this exact settings that you have the rights to may vary depending upon your account.
