- While we'll explore the specifics a little bit later, let's talk a little bit, initially, about using Facebook Live from a personal page. What you'll wanna do, is log into a personal page that you have access to. Now, ideally it's your own page. At the top you'll see the ability to make a post. This includes the standards, text, photo and video, or live video. When you click the live video button, it will open up a new window. Now initially it's going to use the built-in camera on your device, which is fine for these test posts. What I would suggest though, is pay attention to who's seeing this. For now, go ahead and change this, under the more option, to only me. What this will allow you to do as you're getting familiar with Facebook Live, is to do a test post that you can stream, no ones gonna see it yet, and then afterwards you can watch it play back.
