Not only can you use Facebook to connect with others on the Internet, but you can use it to empower face to face meetings. This is where Facebook Events comes into play. It’s a page for a meet up in the real world. In this video, author Richard Harrington walks you through how to create an Event on Facebook.
- Another way to use Facebook to connect with folks…is to create events.…Now, these can be virtual events, like a webinar…or a conference call where you get together,…or, better yet, real world events,…an open house for your business,…a day where you're gonna be holding a barbecue…at your photography studio,…a chance for people to come over and connect.…Maybe it's a celebration for a work anniversary.…Well, Facebook is a great way to invite people,…and we use it regularly as a tool for open houses…to invite people into our place of business.…
What can you do with an event?…Well, first up, you just access the events tab…on the left side of your home page,…and here, you can click to create an event.…Now, enter in key details about the event,…and then start to invite friends or even promote the event.…If it is an event for a business,…you can actually invite other people…that you're not friends with.…Events also support live video.…Facebook is a very viable platform for live streaming…and you can go right from a web browser…
