- [Instructor] Sometimes you need your data in a text file, or a CSV. That way, you can open it in Excel or another file format. Let's export our water hydrants into a text file. First thing I'm going to do is click New, and I'm going to create a new reader, and I'm going to use the file Geodatabase. So, there we are, Esri Geodatabase. And we're going to browse to Exercise Files, to Vector Data with Workbench. And pick on the GP_UTILITIES.gdb file, okay? We'll leave the read from source alone, and we'll click OK. It'll prompt me what feature types I want to export, or import in my reader. And I only want the Hydrant, so I'm going to uncheck the Water Mains. So, the only item selected, right now, is Water Hydrants 'cause I'm going to export the Water Hydrants out to a text file. Click OK, and there we are, we've got hydrants, we've got the Select_ID, SDE_ID, Entity_UID, INSTALL_DATE and PSI. Okay, so there's our water…
