Using the exercise files
- If you are a premium member of lynda.com, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this title. Once you download the zip file from the website, double-click it to unzip it. You may need to use a utility such as UnRAR or WinZip to extract the contents. The exercise files are often demo projects or samples that I've used in some of the videos in order to demonstrate some key features of FL Studio. When you navigate through the exercise files, you'll get a folder that's named Exercise Files, like this, in your Downloads folder. Double-clicking this will then open up another subfolder with all of the chapters rearranged by number. Opening this will then show you all the project files that I've used plus then any extra files such as samples or other things. If you are a monthly member or annual member of lynda.com, you don't have access to the exercise files, but you can still follow along from scratch with your own projects. Let's get started.
