Introducing the menus

- The menus in FL Studio are laid out in a similar fashion to other Windows applications. Although there are some differences, any regular users of Windows programs will feel fairly comfortable navigating these menus as soon as they open FL Studio. For instance, let's have a look at the File menu. Here you'll find all your usual buttons, such as the New, New From Template, Open, Save, Save As, and Save New Version buttons as well. Notice that with Save New Version, the keyboard shortcut for that is Control + N. In most Windows applications, this would normally launch a new document. However, in FL Studio, it saves a new version. You then also have your Import and Export File submenus. The Edit menu will also be familiar to use as Windows programs. In here, you'll find all the usual buttons for the Undo, Cut, Copy, and Paste commands. In FL Studio 12, there's been a change in the primary way that you add new instruments and effects.
