- [Man] We don't want to run out of space on our exchange server so we need to set up mailbox limitations on how large our mailboxes can get. And we're in the exchange admin center on the lefthand side, we're going to go to servers and at the top we're going to go to databases. And we see a couple of different databases on a couple of different servers. So let's select our first database and edit. Click on limits, and we can see that our policy which is the default for all exchange users is going to issue a warning if their mailbox gets to be 1.9 gigabytes. At two gigabytes it will actually prohibit being able to send and at 2.3 gigabytes it will also prohibit the ability to receive email. Nowadays this is really a small amount of email. Most people are going to have between five and ten gigabytes of email space before they start deleting things or having thing auto-archived.
