- [Presenter] Microsoft has included several different options for message hygiene, which basically means they want to help keep your exchange server and your user safe from spam and viruses. and this is the umbrella term for antivirus, amongst other things, where email that would get through to damage your computer or somehow steal or encrypt your data. The second one is antispam, and this is just junk mail that you don't want. Everybody's familiar with that. And the last one is the blacklisting available in the DMZ, and that's if you use Edge Exchange servers. This is turned on by default, and you can configure it to use various different blacklisting services, such as Spamhaus. And this keeps out unwanted email by blocking IPs or domains that have been known to send a lot of spam. Let's look a little more closely at antimalware.
