Migration considerations from Exchange 2013 and 2016

- [Instructor] It's time to upgrade to Microsoft Exchange Server 2019. Let's talk about what is going to be supported and what's not when it comes to the operating systems, Active Directory, and other issues. First off, we will not be able to support any upgrades from Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 or older. We will, however, be able to upgrade from Exchange Server 2013 and 2016. So what if you only have version 2010 or older? Well, you need to upgrade to 2013 first, then run the cumulative updates, and then you can go ahead and upgrade to 2019. And these all have to be done on different servers. You cannot upgrade in place on your existing servers. A good tip would be to install Hyper-V virtual machines so you don't have to roll out new hardware for each of these different upgrades. Now we'll discuss the supported operating systems.
