Installing Edge Transport using the command line

- [Instructor] Installing the Edge transport role on an Exchange 2019 Server requires many less steps than installing the mailbox role. We still need to install Visual C++ for 2012 but after we need to go into PowerShell and we need to type a command. We're going to install the Active Directory Lightweight Directory Service Windows feature and then we're going to install the Edge transport role and we're going to do it using command line instead of using the graphical user interface wizard we did in previous videos. Our installation was successful. We also see a warning if we want to create a new ADLDS instance on the server which we're not going to do. Let's clear the screen and we'll exit out of PowerShell and into a command prompt and that's because the installation does not use PowerShell. And we're going to go to our D drive where our Exchange installation DVD is installed and we'll type a new setup command. I'm going to run the setup.exe. We're going to add the role Edge…
