Creating resource mailboxes
- [Instructor] In Exchange Server 2019 we can create a different type of mailbox called resource mailboxes. And they're similar to user mailboxes, but let's click on resources and let's talk about the differences. If we click on the drop down we have the Room mailbox and the Equipment mailbox. Let's start with the Room mailbox. The Room mailbox allows us to set up say a conference room to automatically accept any type of appointments that we send to it without a user interceding, and accepting or rejecting those appointments. We're going to give this Room name the Conference Room, and we'll give it the same for the Alias. Just copy and paste. Location we'll say NorthSide. If you want you can put in a phone number. And Capacity is also interesting as well. So if you invite more than the amount of capacity then you will get a warning that you've exceeded it.
