(upbeat music) - In life, we think in conditions. If this, then that, and if not, then what? That's if. And if you master if, you can go a long, long way in Excel without knowing a bunch of fancy formulas. So this is some real power that we're about to unleash here. We've got our team, what the event is doesn't matter. We're talking about if here, folks, let's stay focused. All right, here we've got the opponents, our score, the opponent's score and an empty column for won and lost. That's what we're going to fill in with if. Let's start. Equals if open parenthesis. What is our logical test, our condition? If our score was greater than the opponent's score, that's the condition, comma, if it's true, what? W, and it has to be in double quotes. Comma, if it's not true, then what? L. Close parenthesis, enter. Check that out. We whooped the Red Birds, 28 to 19. Let's double click, send that formula down, double click. The column is filled in and we see we lost twice to the Paper Whales…
