- Alright, that should get your feet wet a little and if you learn nothing else but get comfortable doing the kind of analysis that we just did, you'll already be able to evaluate rental income properties in just about any market. But unless you already have a background in real estate investing, some of the concepts and techniques might have felt a little foreign but don't worry, over the next several sections, we're going to slow things down and build on your foundational knowledge before we actually dive back into some more advanced case studies. These concepts are 100% necessary to fully understand the case studies that are coming in the end. So don't rush through these, take your time, open the files, do the exercises, re-listen to the lectures if you have to. The case studies aren't going to be helpful if you don't have a firm grasp of these fundamentals.
