What is optimization?
- [Instructor] One key element of AI, particularly in terms of business applications, is the use of AI for optimization. Now, I'm here in the 01_04_Begin file, and what I want to do is use a basic form of data analysis to understand what's going on with a particular set of products. I've got two fictional products here, Product A and Product B, and I want to understand the relationship between those product sales and the overall economy, as represented by the fed funds rate, that is the interest rate, GDP, the level of it, and GDP changes. So how can I do this? Well, to start with, I'm going to go through and add in my optimization tool, which will be through the data analytics package. So I'm going to come to file, options, add-ins, manage Excel add-ins, go, and then I'm going to click analysis tool pack, make sure that's checked, and click OK. Once I've done that, I should be able to come over to the data tab, and click data analysis. Now, I'm interested in a regression. And in…
