- [Instructor] The more you work with macros in Excel the more important it is to understand some of the elements of the programming language behind the scenes. VBA, visual basic for applications. In this workbook, it's called workbook with macros, we expect to find some macros. We can go to the view tab, choose macros, we see some macros listed. Be sensitive to the idea that sometimes the setting down below here might say all open workbooks. And if you have other open workbooks open, it's not obvious at first which macro is where. In this case, this is the only workbook I have open, but from time to time you will want to click this workbook. So if we want to see the code behind one of these macros, we can either click the macro and choose edit or we can jump into the visual basic window much faster simply by not having come here and press alt F11, the keystroke combination. You'll be using that a lot as you work with macros.…
