- [Instructor] Two of Excel's newer functions: … XLOOKUP an XMATCH are powerful tools … and they change the way we work with data … as we look up information … and try and pull together related information. … And they both have a feature … that has not existed in earlier versions of Excel, … and that's the ability to look at data from last to first … or in the case of columns, bottom up. … We could even use this for looking through data across rows, … that would be right to left, … feature is called Last to First. … XLOOKUP is the more powerful tool, … I'll show it to you first, … but we can also use this with XMATCH. … So I've got a list over in columns A, B, and C. … 200 rows, we have the names of salespersons in column A. … The names are repeating … since we're tracking sales on different days. … And we're trying to find the last sales date … for one of the names here. … So in cell E3, I've got a pick list set up ahead of time. … I'll click the drop arrow here. … We're looking for, let's say Sally Garcia, right here. …
