- [Instructor] You can represent numerical information 2 visually by way of a chart or perhaps by way of spark lines. 3 You can also do this by way of a text entry 4 using a function called REPT. 5 Think of the word repeat. 6 Let's say that to accompany the data in column D, 7 we might want a visual to the right 8 that gives us the relative size of these salaries. 9 =rept, repeat. 10 We begin with the symbol or symbols we want to repeat 11 within double quotes. 12 I'm going to use capital X. 13 I want to have this repeated. 14 Now, I don't want to have it repeated 30,000 times, 15 but I might want to take the entry in column D 16 and divided by 10,000. 17 So I'll refer to column D, cell D2 here, 18 divided by 10,000. 19 So we're about to see three Xs here 20 as I double click to copy this down the column. 21 Four Xs there, three, two, 22 and of course this corresponds with the salary. 23 Notice how it simply…
