- [Instructor] By combining different Excel features, 2 you can come up with a presentation model 3 like the one we're about to see. 4 We're going to be using a pick list, the VLOOKUP function, 5 the table capability and charting. 6 In the list of data that we see off to the left, 7 we've got some of the major states listed, houses sold, 8 cars sold for a given year. 9 We'd like to display this as a chart 10 and we want to make it dynamic. 11 Let's start with the idea that the state entry in cell E2 12 that we're going to put in initially 13 should come from a pick list. 14 Now, pick lists are part of what we call data validation. 15 And let's imagine for the moment what we're about to see 16 is a pick list here that will let us select a state. 17 Then, we'll use a VLOOKUP function 18 to show the houses sold and the cars sold. 19 We'll have this converted into a table, 20 and then base a chart on that information. 21…
