- [Instructor] Excel has a number of built-in 2 keystroke shortcuts, well over 200. 3 But in addition to these keystroke shortcuts, 4 you can create your own for certain command sequences. 5 If you hold down the alt key for just a second, 6 look what happens to the ribbon menu system. 7 We see a letter next to each of the tabs, 8 h for home, n for insert, m for formulas, a for data, 9 r for review, and so on. 10 If I were to press the letter h right now 11 and I'm about to, I'm activating the features 12 that are within the home tab, the various icons. 13 Watch what happens when I press the letter h right now. 14 And now, we see in some cases, letter combinations. 15 Some cases, just simple letters, other cases, numbers, 16 we can get to features within the home tab. 17 Sometimes these shortcuts are listed in books, 18 although not very often. 19 If you see them listed, they're likely 20 to be listed something like…
