Join Dennis Taylor for an in-depth discussion in this video Use the new Funnel chart available in Excel 365, part of Excel Tips Weekly.
- [Instructor] If you're using Office 365…and you've installed the latest updates,…you'll have access to a new chart type…called a Funnel Chart.…Most of the examples I've seen of a Funnel Chart…involve sales or scenarios where you gut data…that's in different phases of a project, for example,…involve decreasing numbers.…Numbers of lower values.…Both of these sets of data,…the one here…and the one here…are pretty similar…just a different set of descriptions…and more descriptions and bigger numbers…than the lower one.…Now, if you didn't know anything about this feature…and you're about to create a chart with this data,…well first of all you can just click on a single cell…within here because it's surrounded by empty cells,…we can create a chart quickly, Alt F1,…and not bad and that could suffice for our needs.…
Nothing wrong with that and, in fact,…it tells the story pretty much.…If it were a Bar Chart…we could change the chart type,…this is on that Design tab that appears…when you create a chart.…How about Bar.…Looks pretty good too. Same general idea.…
