- [Instructor] Most of your Excel projects have some form of date and or time values included. In this video, we're going to review the date and time functions that you may come across in the Excel 2016 MOS expert exam. We'll look at the Now function, which will return the current date and system time. We'll look at the Today function, which will insert the current date. We will use Days to calculate the number of days between two dates. The Year function, we'll use that to pull just the year out of a date. And finally the Text function, we'll use text to pull the name of the month that's in a date and the day of the week that's in a date. I have the 0405 exercise file open, so let's get going. First, let's look at our Now function. I'm clicking H2 and I'm going to use equals Now. Go ahead and tab to get into that function. There's nothing included in the parentheses, so I'll simply type a closing parentheses and hit enter. And there's our current date along with the system time…
